Paintings -- Loose Works

Many of my paintings are hung loosely on the wall.  Dressmaker pins hold up the work — pins stuck through canvas that is un-stretched and therefore, unframed.  These paintings fall into what I call  'Loose Works'.  I enjoy a play on words, whereas depending on intonation, the phrase can impart different meanings. Loose Works, or Loose Works.

Stretching and framing complicates my process, and honestly does not speak to who I am as an artist, and above all, I want to paint canvas.  Period.  Those who buy my work have the canvases stretched and framed themselves.  Loose Works!
